Taking into account that more than 400 million people hold USDT and that 35 million new wallets are added to this number every quarter, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino called the stablecoin the most successful tool to maintain the dominance of the US dollar in the global financial system.

In a post on the social network X (formerly Twitter), he stated that Tether has built the most extensive physical and digital distribution network in developing countries over the past decade and, as the 18th largest holder of US Treasury securities, any attack on the company can be considered an attack on the sovereignty of the US dollar.
